Papers, 1763-1820.

The papers consist chiefly of family correspondence, but also included letters to Baron Steuben and James Duane. The letters to Duane concern lands in the Duanesburgh Patent and Steuben and Montgomery counties. The majority of the letters are from North to his wife and brother, and to Dr. William Eustis, a family friend who served as the U.S. Minister to the Netherlands. The letters discuss personal and financial matters as well as current events.
