Two letters concerning enemy aliens during the War of 1812. The first is a copy of a circular letter sent to John Smith, marshall of Pennsylvania, directing him to make a report of all cases of naturalization. The second is a letter signed to Alexander James Dallas, U.S. attorney in Philadelphia, transmitting the first letter and requesting his cooperation.
