Board of Adjustment case files, 1964-1972.

The State Board of Adjustment hears and considers claims for damages to persons or property made against the state and its agencies, boards, commissions, institutions, or departments. The attorney general is not a member of the board but is required to attend its meetings to represent the state. These files contain copies of claim forms, repair estimates, cover letters from officials forwarding claims, and letters of claimants acknowledging their claims. Few of the files have any information on the final disposition or decision of the Board of Adjustment. These files were sent to the attorney general for information purposes.
