Letter, 30 Brumaire An 8 [i.e. 22 Nov. 1799 or 1800] to Citizen Meade [i.e. Richard Worsam Meade].

Text of the letter reads: "I received with the letter you wrote me today the enclosed newspaper wherein is mentioned three supply officers from the Executive Directory for St. Domingue. I thank you infinitely for your attention & urge you to continue to let me know when facts interesting [to] the colony come to you. I will be very grateful. Let me know if I can keep this newspaper or send it back to you after reading [it]."
