Scrapbook containing photographs, newspaper clippings, railway tickets, maps, and other ephemera relating to street railways in the Portland, Or. area from circa 1890-1940. Photographs depict streetcars, including horse-drawn, cable, and electric; streetcar bridges; streetcar accidents; and some images from the 1894 flood. Railway companies represented include the Portland Traction Company, Portland Railway Company, Portland Consolidated Railway Company, and Willamette Bridge Railway Company, among others. There are also some photos of various streetcar lines in Oregon City and Salem, Or., as well as Vancouver, B.C. Clippings describe the history of railways in Portland and their various owners. The photographers are unidentified.
