Seventeen Civil War letters to family in Lloydsville, Ohio, from Joseph and William Spencer. Both brothers were in the 98th Regt., O.V.I. and write from Kentucky of camp life, actions, and family. William died of typhoid pneumonia while on march after "Bragg's rebel army." Also includes obituary of William written by a family member.
