Graham, Thomas, 1805-1869

Thomas Graham, pioneer in physical chemistry, was born in Glasgow, the son of James Graham, a merchant and textile manufacturer. He was educated at Glasgow Grammar School and Glasgow University, where he graduated MA in 1824. Graham later studied medicine at Edinburgh University and worked in the chemical laboratory there.
