John Sessions (1795-1884) of Westminster, Vt., graduated from Dartmouth College in 1822 and Princeton Theological Seminary in 1823. He served as pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Adams, N.Y., 1825-1830, and Norwich, N.Y., 1835-1843. Sessions became professor of English at Albany Academy, New York, 1848-1855, and principal of Jefferson County Institute at Watertown, N.Y., 1856-1859.
