John Carl Parish Papers, 1915-1939

John Carl Parish (1881-1939) was a history professor who taught at Colorado College, the State University of Iowa, and UCLA. He edited the State Historical Society of Iowa's monthly journal, (1920-22), the , and the . His published books include (1907), (1912), and (1913). The collection consists of bibliography cards, typed transcripts and film reproductions of manuscripts, and note cards of document and manuscript material relating to the colonial period and westward movement in American history, with special emphasis on the 18th century and sources in French.
