This collection consists of 22 color intaglio prints by Troy Kinney featuring dancers and dance performances, produced from 1915 to 1928. Among the dancers represented in these prints are Vaslav Nijinski, Adeline Genée, Anna Pavlova, Alexandre Volinin, and Doris Niles. The plates were primarily produced by etching, drypoint engraving, or a combination of both processes. The plate for Pastorale includes some mezzotinting.

Troy Kinney was an American artist and writer on dance, noted for his etchings and his treatise The Dance, Its Place in Art and Life (1924), co-written with his wife Margaret West Kinney. Kinney was born December 1, 1871 in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended the Art Institute of Chicago and the School of Fine Arts at Yale. In 1900, he married Margaret West.
