Charles H. Graves Image Collection, 1963 - 1967

A 35mm color slide show and 16mm color film documentary of the early history (1963-1967) of the University of California, San Diego, created by Charles Graves. The two formats were photographed nearly simultaneously and include the construction and dedication of Revelle College, social and political activities of the first undergraduate class, the first Watermelon Drop, and the inauguration of John Galbraith, UCSD's second chancellor. The images also document the natatorium construction, Camp Matthews and the dedication of Bonner Hall. The film version has been reformatted to VHS videotape.The collection is arranged in two series: 1) SLIDES and 2) FILMS.
