German-Italian romance philologist, orientalist, and scholar of medieval and renaissance texts. His archive comprises research papers, his manuscripts, correspondence, clippings, and some personal documents. Annotated proofs for English, German, and Italian editions of and are included, along with research notes and related correspondence.
