Biography Anna Jean Ayres was born in 1923 in central California. She received her BA in occupational therapy in 1945, her MA in occupational therapy in 1954, and her PhD in educational psychology in 1961. All her degrees were from the University of Southern California. She was married in 1969 to Franklin Baker and died in 1989 due to complications from cancer.
