Historical or Biographical Note Biography: Henrik Edwards Sievers (1911-1999) was born in Marin County and raised in Pacific Grove, Vallejo and San Jose, California. He joined the Naval Reserve in 1928 and attended San Jose State College starting 1929. An active seaman from 1930 to 1975, Mr. Sievers gained Master status in 1943 while working for the Alaska Transportation Company. Early in his career he sailed with the Dollar Steamship Line an...
