Ralph Nader (b. Feb. 27, 1934, Winsted, CT) graduated from Princeton University (1955) and received an LL.B. from Harvard Law School (1958). After law school he served in the U.S. Army as a cook. Starting in 1959, Nader began practicing as a lawyer in Hartford, CT, while lecturing at the University of Hartford. He was also a writer for the Christian Science Monitor and The Nation.
