A bound volume comprising a diary and survey notes (Sept. 1856-June 1857) kept by Samuel M. Putnam while surveying a road in West Central Minnesota from Little Falls to Otter Tail Lake, and then on to the Red River of the North to establish the townsite of Graham's Point.
