Stebbins family letters. 1841-1896, 1940.

Letters to Clarrissa and Rufus Stebbins in Brookline, Vermont from their children and grandchildren in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Minnesota. The letters discuss school and work situations, weather (blizzards, tornadoes, storms), prices (food, land, and crops), the Civil War experiences of two of their sons, farming, and the work of their youngest son, a rural Methodist minister in southeastern Minnesota. There is a good deal of information on southeastern Minnesota places.
