Jacinto Quirarte Papers 1966-1998

Jacinto Quirarte is a professor emeritus and former Dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). As an art historian, he concentrated on Pre-Columbian art history. In addition to numerous articles, Quirarte wrote The Art and Architecture of the Texas Missions, which was published by the University of Texas Press in 2002. He was also the author of Mexican American Artists and Izapan Style Art--A Study of Its Form and Meaning. The collection spans the years 1966 through 1998 and includes correspondence, papers, speeches, articles, manuscripts for publication, typescripts, galley proofs, photographs, and other materials.
