Historian, professor. Born July 29, 1911, in North Mankato, Minnesota. Lund received a B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1942, and a Ph. D. from the University of Madrid in 1953. He worked as an English teacher and interpreter, and was a professor of Spanish at Pan American College in Edinburg, Texas.
