L. Alberto Guajardo (b. ca. 1855) lived in Piedras Negras on the frontier of Coahuila, Mexico, his entire life. As a young man, he fought against Native Americans and eventually became a general in one of the Mexican revolutions. In later life, Guajardo manufactured blankets, brooms, and traditional medicines.
