W. C. Sutherland authored a 1918 historical sketch of William Adams (b. 1846) and his brother Robert (1847-1944) titled “The Adams Brothers of Jim Wells County.” Born in Norfolk, England, the brothers came to Corpus Christi, Texas, with their parents, Robert and Sarah (Anderson) Adams, in March 1847.
