Raised in Northern New York, attorney John Charles Harris graduated from Mount Union College, Alliance, Ohio. As co-founder of the Houston and Galveston-based law firm Harris & Harris with Edward Harris, he litigated for Southwestern Telephone and Telegraph Company.
