G. A. C. Halff was the son of Solomon Halff, early Texas merchant, and Fannie Levi. Solomon Halff was the president and majority stockholder of the A. B. Frank Company, which specialized in wholesale dry goods. G. A. C. Halff followed in his father’s merchandising footsteps, eventually taking over the presidency of the company.
