Papers of Edward Daniel Linn and hisfather John Jospeph Linn. John ("Juan") Linn was the alcalde of Victoria prior tothe Texas Revolution. Edward Linn, a prominent citizen of Victoria, was the editorand publisher of the Victoria Advocate in the 1870s and 1880s, a director of the NewYork Texas, and Mexican Railroad, four-term member of the U.S. Congress and threeterm senator in the Texas Legislature.
