Wright, Tom Papers 1964-1994

Tom Wright was born in Alabama in1944. In the early 1960s he studied photography at England's Ealing Art School,where he met Pete Townshend, founder of the rock group The Who. Wright became TheWho's official photographer in 1967 and chronicled the group's development,including their farewell tour (1991). Papers include concert tour informationincluding itineraries and financial records; The Who magazine covers and stories,programs, tour kit, and book; Pete Townshend press kit; biographical articles;personal papers; correspondence; clippings; and separated artifacts and soundrecordings.
