The Legacy of H. S. Wall Project,established by the Educational Advancement Foundation, helps support researchrelating to the mathematician Hubert Stanley Wall (1902-1971). Wall was a proponentof the "Moore Method," the discovery-based method of teaching developed by hiscolleague at UT, R. L. Moore. The collection consists of student notes and adissertation.

Wall received his Ph. D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1927. He was a professor of mathematics at the University of Texas at Austin (1946-1971) where he utilized the discovery-based Moore method of teaching in his classroom.
