George Bruce Halsted (1853-1922) received his Bachelor's (1875) and Master's (1878) degrees from Princeton and his Ph.D. from John's Hopkins (1879). Following graduation, Halsted taught mathematics at Princeton until beginning his post at the University of Texas at Austin in 1884.
