Founded in 1881, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC) represents and offers training to carpenters, cabinetmakers, millwrights, piledrivers, lathers, framers, floor layers, roofers, drywallers, and workers in forest-products and related industries. This collection is comprised of ledgers containing minutes, membership, and financial records of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Ladies Auxiliary Local 603 (Wichita Falls, Tex.); Local 977 (Wichita Falls, Tex.); Local 1706 (Vernon, Tex.); and Millmen's Local 2324 (Wichita Falls, Tex.) which voted to merge with Local 977 in June 1921.
