The UT Arlington Library Administrative Office is responsible for strategic planning for the University Library. In the Office are staff members responsible for the following areas: Budget, Planning and Assessment, Facilities and Procurement, Marketing and Outreach, Development, Friends of the UT Arlington Library, Special Events, Personnel, and Accounting functions. These are the official records of Julie Alexander, Associate Director of the UT Arlington Library Administrative Office. This collection comprises of correspondence, reports and policies. A large portion of these files concerns the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), which was adopted in 2007.

The library at the University of Texas at Arlington has been housed in several buildings over the course of its existence. It was established ca. 1915 as part of a new building that also housed science labs, the business office, literary society halls, and other offices. In 1919, the library was relocated to the Administration Building (now known as Ransom Hall), before moving ca. 1926 to the building now known as College Hall.
