Wees (1861-1942) was a German-born architect who practiced in St. Louis and Paris, Tex. where he settled after being called there to rebuild the city which was destroyed by fire in 1916. Reports, an oral interview, abstracts, specifications and newspaper clippings (together measuring .25 linear feet) and 118 drawings covering the period 1909-1983, provide information about buildings that architect J.L. Wees designed for Rufus F. Scott in Paris, Tex.
