Robert W. Kneebone (1899-1976) was involved in Houston business and civic affairs beginning in the 1930's. A 1921 graduate of the University of Michigan, Kneebone entered the banking industry in 1932. In 1950, he became vice-president of the National Bank of Commerce, later renamed the Texas Commerce Bank.
