Faye Millard MacFarland was born on December 25, 1900 in Artesian, South Dakota. She attended Hyde Park High School, from which she graduated in 1918. That same year she entered the University of Chicago, where she received her Ph.B on June 13, 1922. While an undergraduate, MacFarland was very active in the University, serving as a member of Ida Noyes Auxiliary, the Freshman Commission, Ida Noyes Advisory Council, the Woman's Athletic Association (W.A.A.), Dramatic Club, Federation ...
