The North Carolina State University Libraries photograph collection consists of photographs, slides, and negatives depicting the campus libraries, the library staff, patrons, library events, and the Friends of the Library from 1941 until 2004. The North Carolina State University Libraries system was started in 1889 with the establishment of the first library on campus in a single room in Holladay Hall by Daniel Harvey Hill, Jr., an English professor. As if 2011, the campus library system consists of five libraries and over 3.6 million volumes in the collection.
