Lawrence Fane (b. 1933) lives and works in New York and is known primarily as a sculptor. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Lawrence Fane moved to New York City in the mid-1960s. Fane attended Harvard University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in 1955. He studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts from 1955-1956; during this period, he served as an apprentice to the sculptor, George Demetrios.
