W. H. Auden was born in 1907 in York, North Yorkshire. He was an Anglo-American poet, widely regarded as one of the great writers of the 20th century. He died in Vienna in 1973. These materials were collected by Robert P. Rushmore. They include first appearances of Auden's poetry in periodicals, prose by Auden in periodicals, and other materials relating to Auden and his work.
