Robert Ewing Thomason of El Paso, Tex., was a United States representative from Texas (1931-1947). The collection consists chiefly of letters, 1940-1945, received by Thomason from citizens and government officials regarding the interests of his constituents and the business of the House Military Affairs Committee, including a 1945 letter from Harry Emerson Fosdick objecting to proposals for peacetime conscription.
