Reverend Samuel D. Denison was secretary of the Board of Missions of the Episcopal Church, New York. The collection contains letters to Denison from Isabel E. Habersham of Savannah, Ga., regarding support for a mission in China, and from a Mexican in Brownsville, Tex., concerning the need for native Mexican clergy to promote a religious reformation in Mexico.
