John Wilkes Brodnax Papers, 1801-1844; 1881-1927

John Wilkes Brodnax was a physician and professor at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, Va. The collection includes correspondence and other papers of Brodnax, chiefly concerning history and genealogy of the Brodnax and related families. Items include transcriptions of letters, 1801-1827, received by William H. Brodnax, Greensville County, Va., concerning national political issues, and William H. Brodnax's will, with codicils, 1828-1844. Five volumes contain genealogical data on the Brodnax and related families; one contains letters, 1881-1920, received by John Wilkes Brodnax concerning his professional activities, and personal and genealogical interests. A few items, 1902-1926, concern Brodnax's work at the Medical College of Virginia.
