Timothy Mason wrote the book and lyrics for the original Broadway production of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, which was first performed at the Minneapolis's Children's Theatre Company in 1994. He has written a number of plays that have been produced throughout that United States and London.
