Joseph Vickery Robison was the father-in-law of Louise Y. Robison who became General President of the Relief Society. He was born on March 30, 1832, in Clay, Onandago, New York, to Joseph Robinson and Lucretia Hancock. He married Martha Jane Olmstead on March 29, 1958, in Bethel, Branch, Michigan. His journal mentions that he was living in Fillmore, Utah, before his mission. After his mission, he married Elizabeth Wright Marshall on October 5, 1885.
