Part 1 shows sailors injured by a Ger. torpedo attack on the U.S. destroyer. Sen. Pepper and Congressman Cox speak on the arming of merchant ships. Gen. Marshall and Secs. Stimson and Hull arrive at the White House to confer with the Pres. Adm. Stak receives reports at his hdqs. Part 2, shows a U.S. convoy en route to Iceland. German films show a Ger. submarine spotting a convoy, submerging, and the crew at battle stations. Part 3, supplies are unloaded from a convoy in Reykjavik harbor. Shows U. S. soldiers and Marines manning coastal and anti-aircraft guns. Personages: Gen. Bonesteel. Part 4, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor tour the U.S. Naval Academy, CCC camps at Beltsville, and Rock Creek Park (Washington, D.C.); ride in a motorcade in New York City, and talk to newsmen. Part 5, football: Navy vs. Cornell; Mich. vs. Northwestern; and Penn. vs. Princeton.
