Reel 1 contrasts U.S. and foreign agricultural production. Explains food experiments at the New York Medical College. Illustrates relief sources: Federal donations, CARE, private and local contributions, and UNRRA. Shows Sec. Anderson and Director La Guardia. Reel 2, contributions are prepared, distributed, and used: nitrate is bagged in Chile; rice harvested in Siam; mules shipped from the U.S.; bags of grain unloaded in Yugoslavia; grasshoppers sprayed and burned in Sardinia; hatching eggs received in Czechoslovakia. La Guardia addresses the UNRRA Council in Geneva (Aug. 1946) and visits the Food and Agriculture organization in Copenhagen. Shows primitive and modern agricultural operations.
