Records the struggle for the control of the North Atlantic. Reel 1, Col. Donovan stresses England's need for war material. A convoy is loaded at a Canadian port, minesweepers clear the channel, and R.C.A.F. planes protect the convoy. A German U-boat sinks a freighter off the coast of Ireland. Nazi Stuka planes strafe the convoy. Reel 2, Coast Guard cutters visit Greenland; seamen attend a dance given by the natives. German agents transmit weather reports. Sec. of State Hull and Danish officials agree on U.S. protection of Greenland, and airfields are erected. British ships are refitted in U.S. navy yards. Col. Lindbergh, in Madison Square Garden, advises isolationism.
