Mark Wayne Clark (1896-1984) was born in Madison Barracks, New York. After he graduated from West Point in 1917, he commissioned in the infantry. William Kelly Harrison (1895-1987) was born in Washington, D.C. He received his commission in the cavalry from West Point in 1917. He advanced to the rank of brigadier general in June 1942 and served as Assistant Division Commander of the 78th Infantry Division, then 30th Division from 1942 to 1945. He later served as Chief of Staff of the Far East Command in 1953 and 1954, and Commander in Chief of the Caribbean Command from 1954 until his retirement in 1957. From the description of...
