A collection of home movies depicting the Flying Tigers, from its inception to its disbandment, approximately one year later. The film is of historical value only, the quality and cinematography are poor at best, and use as stock footage is doubtful. Personalities shown include Claire V. Chennault, Madam Chiang Kai-Shek, Brig Gen Caleb Haynes, Col Robert Scott and donor of film G.L. Paxton. Claire Lee Chennault (September 6, 1893 – July 27, 1958), sometimes known as Old Leatherface, was an American military aviator best known for his leadership of the "Flying Tigers" and the Republic of China Air Force in World War II. Caleb Vance Haynes (b. March 15, 1895, Mount Airy, N.C.-d. Apr. 5, 1966), U.S. Air Force officer, receied his commission in the Air Service in 1920. He served as commanding officer, 49th Bomber Squadron from 1936 to 1940, setting a world's record for attaining the highest altitude with the greatest payload in 1939.
