Spiro Theodore Agnew (November 9, 1918 – September 17, 1996) was the 39th vice president of the United States from 1969 until his resignation in 1973. He is the second and most recent vice president to resign the position, the other being John C. Calhoun in 1832. Unlike Calhoun, Agnew resigned as a result of a scandal. Nguyãen Cao Ky was born on September 8, 1930 in Son Tay, Vietnam. He was flight trained by the French, and returned to Vietnam in 1954 to hold a series of commands in the South Vietnamese air force. He was involved in the overthrow of President Diem, and was later appointed to the air force command. He served as the premier of the former Republic of South Vietnam, 1965 to 1967, and was Vice President of the Republic of South Vietnam, 1967 to 1971. He settled in the United States in 1975. ...
