Summary: Covers activity at two commercial airports and arrival of Secy Eugene M. Zuckert, Gen Curtis E. LeMay, Mr. Najeeb E. Halaby, and Mr Alan S. Boyd on inspection tour during Operation Sky Shield II, an Air Defense Command exercise which grounded all non-military aircraft. 1) Stapleton Airfield, Denver, showing nearly deserted air terminal, civilian fire fighters and first aid personnel at simulated crash of C-119G; MS's of Western Airlines Electra and Continental Airlines Viscount 812 parked. 2) Salt Lake City Air Terininal, showing nearly deserted air terminal, United Airlines DC-7B and Western Airlines DC-7B parked. 3) VC-131A taxiing to parking position at Hancock Field. 4) Hon Eugene M. Curtis Emerson LeMay (November 15, 1906 – October 1, 1990) was an American Air Force general who implemented an effective but controversial strategic bombing campaign in the Pacific theater of World War II. Henry Viccellio (1911-1978) was born in Chatham, Virginia, and attended the College of William & Mary. He enlisted as a Private in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1934, and received his commission as a Second Lieutenant in 1937 after completing flight training at Randolph and Kelly Fields, Texas. Viccellio's World War II service included several assignments and commands in the Pacific Theatre, including at the Fiji Islands, Guadalcanal, and Espiritu Santu in the New Hebrides. A graduate of West Point, Robert M. Lee received his wings in 1932 and was one of the Air Corps pilots flying the treacherous airmail route in 1934. As a Captain, Lee attended the Air Corps Tactical School and, in 1941, he became chief of corps aviation.
