He served as the second Chief of Staff of the Air Force, and the second Director of Central Intelligence. Vandenberg was born at Milwaukee, Wis., in 1899. Earle Everard "Pat" Partridge (July 7, 1900 – September 7, 1990) was a four-star general in the United States Air Force and a Command Pilot.
