Horace Logan McBride (b. June 28, 1894, Madison, Neb.-d. Nov. 14, 1962) attended the University of Nebraska from 1910 to 1911, and served as battery commander in the 347th Field Artillery, American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) in World War I. He was commissioned in the field artillery from West Point in 1916, served as an assistant military attaché at The Hague, then in Warsaw in 1919.
