This series consists of case files relating to violations of Office of Price Administration (OPA) price regulations concerning maximum prices for commercial products and services. The files contain a docket sheet listing the name of the company charged with the violation, the date and nature of the violation, whether the violation was the result of a complaint to the OPA or the result of an OPA investigation, and the disposition of the case. The files also include correspondence between OPA staff and the staff of the companies charged, progress reports filed by OPA investigative staff, copies of judicial records for cases litigated in the United States District Courts, and memorandums of OPA staff explaining the violations and dispositions. This series includes correspondence with Fiorello H. LaGuardia.
